This week our family is enjoying some vacation time with Melanie's extended family here at Surfside Beach. It's a great time to slow down a bit and enjoy God's creation. There's just something about the sound of the ocean, the smell of the salt air, and the taste of fresh seafood that's good for the soul!

Feeding the Ducks
Today was a beautiful day here in Richmond. Not too hot, low humidity, gentle breeze. Everything just right for a visit to the park. So I took my daughter out to Three Lakes Park in Henrico County and had a great morning. We played on the playground, visited the nature center, and fed the ducks. As I watched my four-year-old daughter feed the ducks and chase them around, I quietly gave thanks to God for one of those treasured moments. I pray that other parents would recognize the importance of family time and to take advantage of the moment

My Sabbatical Update
This is the first of two weeks of the Doctor of Ministry Seminar II at Union-PSCE. It's been a real interesting class. It's called Church and Culture and we have been focusing on how Christians interact with the culture around them and how the Church is to be the real presence of Christ in a changing, postmodern world. I'll be in class the rest of this week and all next week, but I'll see you on Sundays.
Journals from Medical Mission Team to Honduras
Dr. David LeRoux from our church recently returned from a medical mission trip to Honduras with Friends of Barnabas. Here are the journals from the trip. What a blessing! David will be sharing his experience with us during worship in both services on June 22. We hope you will come! Blessings, Pastor Bob
