This week has been an insightful and challenging week. I have been at the seminary for a directed study course toward my D. Min. The course is called "Worship in the Twenty First Century." The focus was to look back at the early Church Apostolic Fathers to capture the essence of worship and liturgy in the first several centuries of the Church. Then to see how we might bring renewal in our churches though inviting people to embrace the ancient spiritual practices and then integrate them into our modern contexts.
I will be working on a final project for the course over the next month and will be sharing how you might be able to engage in that process as a congregation. One way in particular is for you to send me stories of your baptism. If you are baptized, can you share some stories of your baptism that might make this project even more meaningful.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement over the D. Min. process. I am nearly half way through with my course work! Blessings, Pastor Bob
