As we begin 2009, it's a great time to read through the Bible. Note than whenever Jesus faced temptation, trial, spiritual warfare, or persecution he quoted the Hebrew Scriptures (our Old Testament). What I'm Reading
I just started reading Max Lucado's new book 3:16 The Numbers of Hope www.threesixteen.net. It's a page turner! Max Lucado states that John 3:16 is the most important verse in the entire Bible.

God's Word
This morning I read of God's command to Moses to appoint and commission Joshua as Moses' successor. Verse 18 stood out where God says of Joshua, "A man in whom is the spirit" which we understand as the Holy Spirit of God.
A prayer for believers is that we hope that the presence of the Spirit is sensed by those around us. Lord, help me be a person in whom is the Spirit. Click to read more »
